Introduction

English Captain Joe Root is tipped to be one of all-time great English batsmen. He started his career with Alistair Cook ( yet another English batting great) was operating at his peak. He had immediate big bang start to his career in his initial year of international cricket. He has 20 centuries under his belt. To add to this fact he has been scoring centuries consistently every year so far. The year 2020 was an exception to this fact.

Joe Root- The captain

After completion of approximately 4 years at the top most level he was handed over the prestigious captaincy in the red ball format. He celebrated his captaincy initiation in great style in the English summer of 2017. One of the specialties for Root is that his record away from home has been quite exemplary. To add to this record has been unaffected with captaincy.
